The Challenge

Each year, the Habitat for Humanity NYC & Westchester House Party serves as the chapter's primary fundraising gala, celebrating achievements and raising funds to support their mission of creating affordable housing. The 2024 celebration held special significance as it marked the chapter's 40th Anniversary!

The challenge at hand was to execute print and digital materials for the event that honored four decades of legacy and community impact, while also creating a fresh, dynamic visual direction that would lead the organization into the next 40 years.

 

The 40th Anniversary branding was meant to be bold and sophisticated with the initial look and feel, as well as various graphic elements, created before I signed on for the project. My goal was to take the guidelines/elements and make them their own as I created a cohesive collection of materials that celebrated this milestone.

I was tasked with creating both a printed & digital invitation, a 60-page digital program, event signage [welcome, restroom, coat check, after party, sponsor thank you, and a podium sign],  table numbers, seating cards, a tri-fold table tent, a step and repeat, various social media graphics, e-mail headers, and four slideshows averaging 35 pages each.

Event Slideshows

Four slideshows were created for this event; a slideshow to be played during cocktails, one to direct guests to their seats, a program slideshow for during the gala and one for the after party. While the length of each slideshow varied, certain slides were duplicated in each of the four presentations. Below are samples from each slideshow.

Annual Report

In the beginning of 2025, Habitat NYC & Westchester was long overdue for an annual report, having not put one out since 2021. The core challenge was transforming three years of data (2022–2024) into a single, cohesive annual report that captured major achievements and highlighted community stories leading up to their 40th year. With that in mind, I leveraged the 40th Anniversary branding to dictate the look and feel, while also making the report more sleek & sophisticated.
